10Depending on your height and body type its easy to be eating to much or to little for good health. To begin get a copy of a food chart. A lot of people use the pyramid one but there are others that have recently become popular. There are options available online.

The nutrition chart is broken up into food groups. Your basic standard that most people go by are as follows:

* Proteins - Lean meats such as beef, pork and poultry. Seafood, eggs beans, peas and nuts. Soy products are also included in this group.
* Vegetable - Dark green red and orange vegetables are high in nutrients that you need. Also, eat broccoli, kale, carrots, potatoes, sweet potatoes and beans and peas. You get many of the A and B vitamins in this food group.
* Fruits - Apples, apricots, dates bananas, oranges and tangerines are good sources of the C vitamin. Also, good for you are blueberries, raspberries and blackberries as well as the much loved strawberry.
* Grains -There are two types of grains. Whole and refined are the types. Whole grains are found in whole wheat breads oatmeal, brown rice and bulgar. Refined grains are found in white bread, white rice, flour tortillas and most noodles.
* Dairy - This food group contains the cheeses and milk products. Also yogurt and soy plus butter, cream, and cream cheeses.

Eating a balanced nutritional diet helps to maintain your body in its optimal health. But its good to also add a multi-vitamin supplement daily. This will make sure that none of the vital nutrients are missed. Healthy eating does not mean no treats just try to limit the added sugar in your diet. This will promote good health and vitality.
